The Barrie Estate

The Vineyard

“Wine is the only artwork you can drink.” — Luis Fernando Oliverri

The Barrie Estate vineyard and house

The terroir

Character, grown from the ground up.

Dense volcanic soil forces the vines to work harder, promoting smaller, more flavorful grapes. The vineyard’s slight natural grade creates runoff, further straining the fruit and concentrating its vivid, jammy character.

The Barrie Estate sits among the rolling hills of Sonoma County wine country. Its low-yield vines produce intensely concentrated fruit—enough for only about 90 cases.

Our intent is to combine all the nuances of Cabernet with the fresh drinkability of a light-bodied Rosé. We farm with care for the surrounding environment and keep our impact as light as possible.
